आज का दिन केवल उत्सव मनाने का नहीं, बल्कि मानवता के सबसे बड़े मेंटर—भगवान श्रीकृष्ण—और उनके सबसे प्रतिभाशाली, लेकिन भ्रमित शिष्य—अर्जुन—के संवाद को अपने जीवन में उतारने का दिन है।
Today is not just a day for celebration, but a day to internalize the dialogue between humanity’s greatest mentor—Lord Krishna—and his most talented, yet confused disciple—Arjun.

UPSC की यह तैयारी आपके जीवन का कुरुक्षेत्र है। आप सभी अर्जुन हैं। आपके पास ज्ञान है, आपके तरकश में ब्रह्मास्त्र जैसे नोट्स हैं, लेकिन फिर भी आप में से कई लोग रणक्षेत्र के बीच में खड़े होकर संशय, भय और आलस्य के रथ पर सवार हैं। आप भविष्य की चिंता में इतने डूबे हैं कि आप अपना गांडीव (कलम) उठाने से कतरा रहे हैं।
This preparation for UPSC is the Kurukshetra of your life. All of you are Arjun. You have knowledge, you have Brahmastra-like notes in your quiver, yet many of you are standing in the middle of the battlefield, riding the chariot of doubt, fear, and procrastination. You are so engrossed in the anxiety of the future that you are hesitating to pick up your Gandiva (pen).

इसी भ्रम को दूर करने के लिए एक ‘कृष्ण’, एक मेंटर की आवश्यकता होती है। लेकिन याद रखें, श्रीकृष्ण ने अर्जुन के लिए युद्ध नहीं लड़ा था; उन्होंने केवल अर्जुन को उसका ‘स्व-धर्म’ और ‘कर्म’ का मार्ग दिखाया था। हम, ‘संभवम्’ में, आपके सारथी बन सकते हैं, पर युद्ध आपको ही लड़ना होगा।
To dispel this very confusion, a ‘Krishna’, a mentor, is needed. But remember, Sri Krishna did not fight the war for Arjun; he only showed Arjun the path of his ‘Swa-dharma’ and ‘Karma’. We, at ‘Sambhavam’, can be your charioteer, but you alone will have to fight the war.

और कृष्ण का मार्गदर्शन अर्जुन पर तभी प्रभावी हुआ जब अर्जुन ने पूर्ण समर्पण दिखाया। आपको भी अपने मेंटर के प्रति समर्पण दिखाना होगा ताकि आप अपनी कमजोरियों और भ्रम से ऊपर उठ सकें। लेकिन अपना मेंटर भी ‘कृष्ण’ जैसा ही चुनें—जो आपको केवल खुश करने वाली बातें न कहे, बल्कि आपको कठोर सत्य का आईना भी दिखाए।
And Krishna’s guidance was effective on Arjun only when Arjun showed complete surrender. You too must show surrender towards your mentor so that you can rise above your weaknesses and confusion. But choose your mentor wisely, like a ‘Krishna’—one who doesn’t just tell you pleasing things but also shows you the mirror of hard truths.

The Gita: Krishna’s Greatest Gift to You

इस कुरुक्षेत्र में आपका सबसे बड़ा शास्त्र ‘श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता’ है, और उसका सार एक श्लोक में निहित है:
In this Kurukshetra, your greatest scripture is the ‘Srimad Bhagavad Gita’, and its essence is contained in one shloka:

“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।”
“Karmanyevadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana.”

इसका आपके लिए क्या अर्थ है?
What does this mean for you?

• अपने उच्च कर्म पर ध्यान दो: आपका कर्म क्या है? आज का उत्तर लिखना, आज का अध्याय पढ़ना, आज का रिवीजन करना। यही आपका एकमात्र और सर्वोच्च कर्म है।
  Focus on your highest action (Karma): What is your Karma? To write today’s answer, to read today’s chapter, to do today’s revision. This is your one and only supreme Karma.
• पूरी तन्मयता से कर्म करो: आधे-अधूरे मन से नहीं। जब लिख रहे हो, तो सिर्फ लिखो। जब पढ़ रहे हो, तो सिर्फ पढ़ो। अपनी पूरी चेतना उस कर्म में लगा दो।
  Act with full absorption: Not half-heartedly. When you are writing, just write. When you are reading, just read. Put your entire consciousness into that action.
• पूरी ताकत के साथ काम करो: अपनी क्षमताओं को मत रोको। अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ दो।
  Work with all your strength: Don’t hold back your potential. Give your absolute best.
• परिणाम से आसक्त मत रहो: यही सबसे कठिन साधना है। “अगर मेरा चयन नहीं हुआ तो क्या होगा?”—यह विचार ही आपकी ऊर्जा का सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन है। यह आपको कर्म करने से रोकता है। परिणाम आपके हाथ में नहीं है, लेकिन प्रयास आपके हाथ में है। पहले अपना पूरा, 100% ईमानदार प्रयास तो करो।
  Do not be attached to the result: This is the most difficult discipline. “What if I don’t get selected?”—this very thought is the biggest enemy of your energy. It stops you from acting. The result is not in your hands, but the effort is. First, at least give your full, 100% honest effort.

आज का आह्वान: स्वयं के प्रति ईमानदार बनें
Today’s Call to Action: Be Brutally Honest With Yourself

आज रात सोने से पहले, खुद से यह प्रश्न पूछें: “क्या मैं आज अर्जुन की तरह अपने कर्म से भाग रहा था? क्या मैंने अपना 100% दिया?”
Before sleeping tonight, ask yourself this question: “Was I running away from my Karma today like Arjun? Did I give my 100%?”

यदि उत्तर ‘नहीं’ है, तो कल सूर्योदय के साथ एक नए संकल्प के साथ उठें।
If the answer is ‘no’, then wake up tomorrow at sunrise with a new resolve.
